In Science we are learning about different states of matter. This week we were finding out about how particles spread apart as a solid changes to a liquid and then a gas. We used water to demonstrate this.

Bassey class have been finding out about Ernest Shackleton’s hazardous journey to Antarctica. We couldn’t believe that over 5,000 people applied to join his crew of only 28.

We have been learning about length in our Maths lesson. We have been measuring in both metres and centimetres.

We have been practicing some life skills in class and created some delicious pasta bakes. A vegetarian one and a meat one to suit everyone's taste.

Bassey class have worked really hard in English to produce work based on Shaun Tan's book The Lost Thing

Holy Cribs: The Gurdwara

Bassey class learnt about the Gurdwara in RE this week, we found this video very informative!

Bassey class have had lots to do in our first full week back after summer. We have had great fun starting lots of new topics, including place value in Maths, rap in Music and circuits in PE. We have found out where different foods originated from around the world in Geography and discovered key facts about Sikhism. We also loved our experiment in Science as we are learning about the digestive system.

We had lots of fun starting our Geography topic of Locations. We worked together to locate where different foods come from around the world!

Bassey class had fun in our first literacy lesson. We are focusing on the book The Matchbox Diary and predicted what each of the items in the match boxes meant for the story.
