Why Westwood?
We have continued to celebrate British super heroes and name our classes in honour of them.
Westwood is named after Dame Vivienne Westwood - a world famous designer whose work has covered haute couture, punk, theatre and much, much more.
Sports Day July 2018!!! Another great sports day here. A huge well done to my lovely class for their efforts, trying their best and most importantly having fun!!!!
Football!!! Re-in acting the England vs Columbia game in PE today....
Trampolining at Gravity!!!!!!! Westwood won the Class of the term award for their behaviour at playtimes last term and won a trip to a Gravity! 24.5.18
11.5.18- 'eat what you want Day!'- a spread the happiness Day.....Westwood took a trip to the shop this morning to choose an item to eat for the 'eat what you want Day!'
Westwood won the 'class of the term' award for playground behaviour. Awarded by the All Kids Can Teachers. Westwood will now look forward to their prize in the summer term- a trip to Gravity for trampolining! Well done class!!
End of Spring term treat- a trip to the cafe and the park!
Easter Fun! After studying the Easter Story the class created their own Easter garden showing the tomb of Jesus. They worked really hard and created some lovely, unique gardens, then afterwards they made Easter egg Nest cakes!!
Ancient Egyptian Cartouches! The class worked out their names in Ancient Egyptian and created individual cartouches out of clay!
Sports Relief 2018. Westwood had a great time taking part in Sports Relief, running, jumping, throwing and skipping! Thank you to all of you who came along and supported too!
Friday 9th March, World Book Day 2018! The children and staff came in dressed as an Animal this year for World Book Day,

Instruction Writing. The class had to work together to correctly sequence the process of Mummifying a dead body (linked to our topic this term on Ancient Egypt). After sequencing the instructions they then followed the process to mummify Kyle!!!!

The children have really embraced our new topic on Ancient Egypt. They have created some lovely Egyptian portraits using watercolour paints and pens. They have made Pharaoh Crowns and even mummified their own dead bodies! (Tomatoes!)

This Spring term we are learning all about Ancient Egypt and the children have really embraced this topic! So far we have studied Mummies, Pharaohs, pyrimamids and of course King Tutunkhamun!
The children have made Egyptian portraits using water colour paints and pencils, Pharoah crowns and have even mummified their own dead bodies!!!! (Tomatoes!)
