Welcome to the Autumn term 2024 to all our new Year 6 pupils!
This page is for us to share information about the learning that will take place in our class and to share our fantastic achievements as the year progresses.
As the oldest children in the school, I am hoping that Willow class will set the standard for behaviour, effort and hard work for the rest of the school to look up to for inspiration.
We have lots going on this half term as you can see from the curriculum coverage below.

Curriculum: Autumn 1 2024
English: Stonewall by Rob Sanders
The class will explore themes of descrimination, justice and revolution through the eyes of the true story fn the Stonewall Inn, New York City.
Maths: Maths No Problem
The children will be working in small groups at stages and speeds appropriate to their learning needs.
Science: Light
Children will be imagining a career as a lighting technician to explore the science of light through the eyes of someone responsible for the production of theatre, concerts and other shows.
Social Interaction Games:
Children will be improving their teamwork skills by participating a variety of activities from role-playing to card games and from board games to story telling games.
