Human Values
British Values
At Waterside, we have embraced the Values that the British Government wish every child to experience and understand.
The British Government believe that we, "all have a duty to actively promote the fundamental British Values of Democracy, the Rule of Law, individual Liberty and Mutual Respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
The Waterside family believes that British Values are really Human Values and will teach them across our curriculum. We will teach compassion, kindness, curiosity and open-mindedness so that we will trigger positive emotions and well being for all.
The Waterside team have recently audited our provision for teaching Values across our curriculum and are in the process of ensuring that they are inbuilt across all areas.
Our super heroes have been working on a weekly class assembly based on the Value of the Week. These are published to the school community via Parent Mail and are posted via the school website under Class Assemblies, why not check them out.
