Watersides Journey to Success!

We went to Crystal Palace and we had a practice game or two with Louise and Mr Griffiths.

We played against Lewisham, Barnet and Wandsworth schools.

After we finished our practice, we began our games.

Our first game was against Lewisham. We played well, but they scored more points than us.

Whilst playing our game, we saw Maggie Alphonsi - the Olympic Rugby player, and really wanted to meet her and have a photo.

Our second game was against Wandsworth, which we won by five points. 

Our third game was against Barnet, and we won with three points.

Before the medal ceremony, we managed to track down Maggie and have our photos taken with her, as well as Taylor being able to play with her (and against her as she swapped teams) and really enjoyed the time.

At the medal ceremony, we were not sure if we were going to be in the top three - Barnet were in Bronze medal position, Lewisham were awarded Gold medal position and so that left Silver - which was awarded to us!

We are so proud that we got Silver! 

Mr G has promised to take us out for KFC as a treat and we will make sure that he does!

We had a brilliant time and we would like to thank Mrs Gwyn Williams for all her help in training us for this event.
