Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We had a lovely festive time yesterday, with parents, super heroes, Chair of Governors and the Mayor himself in attendance.
There were games, crafts and lots and lots of food!
A festively big thank you to everyone who came and supported.
On behalf of the super hero team at Waterside, may I take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
See you all in January.
In response to the increasing levels knife crime the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan launched London Needs You Alive, an anti-knife crime campaign devised with young people and a range of partners. Part of the ‘Protecting and Educating Young People’ strand of the London Knife Crime Strategy, it aims to reduce the number of young people using and carrying knives in London by reinforcing their sense of worth.
London Needs You Alive is a social and digital media led campaign that seeks to encourage young people to place a higher value on their lives, and therefore not carry a knife. Using public figures that are influential to young people the campaign primarily targets those who are most at risk of being affected by knife crime, with key elements in place to reach a wider audience.

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to let you both know that I have not stopped thinking about our meeting today since I left the school. The work and passion you both have towards education and your students wellbeing is absolutely contagious and can be seen in all aspects of the school from the staff down to the fine details like posters and pictures on the walls. Inspiring to say the least...
As mentioned, I would love to feature the methodology of Waterside in a content piece on the platform to share with other educators along with creating a strategy to tap into additional schools throughout the region. I'll send more info over next week but wanted to get this email out today. Thanks again for everything you do. Enjoy the weekend!
Best,
Evin

Dear parent / guardian,
There have been a number of reports that some children are being 'groomed' on line using a variety of methods - without you knowing or understanding what is happening.
