Just a reminder that we close at 1pm on Friday for the Summer break.

School will re-open for those super heroes who are returning to Waterside on Wednesday 6th September at the normal time.

  • School Uniform

    Wed 12 Jul 2017
    School Uniform for September:

Following lengthy discussions with our super heroes - who lastyear only wanted a magnetic badge to say they were a WatersideSuper Hero - they would like to wear our school uniform with anembroidered badge on it.

This is a huge shift as it shows how proud our super heroes are tobe a part of our school.

We'd like to offer all parents the opportunity to purchase aWaterside Fleece (just like the ones the staff wear) with the schoolbadge on it.

The fleece cost £11 and are extremely good quality.

Our current uniform which consists of:

    Blue or white polo shirt
    Grey or black trousers
    Black shoes or trainers
    Blue jumper

remains the same - but we would like to replace the jumper with afleece. This isn't mandatory - if you want your super hero to wear ajumper, that is fine and dandy - we just think that a fleece hasmore use (especially coming towards the winter months) than ajumper.

Click/tap here - so that you don't have to rely on your super hero toremember to bring home the letter or bring it back!
  • Sports Day

    Mon 10 Jul 2017
Don't forget it's our sports day on Wednesday - which are youhave all received an invite to. Thank you to those who have returned the slip.

We have put on lunch for you and you can take your super herohome with you at the end. We should be finished before 2pm.

Please do not bring any food or drinks for your super hero - wewill be providing everything for them, and it will cause chaos ifsome parents give out sweets etc.

As the weather forecast is supposed to be good on Wednesday -please ensure you and your super hero have sun screen on!
  • Grenfell

    Mon 10 Jul 2017

Our super heroes recently held their maths fayre - to demonstrate both their maths skills in a practical environment and to raise money for some new maths resources.

Following the horrific events at Grenfell, our super heroes wanted to donate their money to the charities that are supporting the families.

We raised £160.56 - which is phenomenal!

    Well done everyone!

  • TV Company want YOU!

    Wed 05 Jul 2017

My name is Billie, I am contacting you from the BBC as we are producing a NEW DOCUMENTARY and we have a unique opportunity for families to take part.

For the series we have partnered with leading robotics labs and we will be putting specialised social robots into people’s homes to help with day to day struggles. These robots are the latest technology and are designed to live with us, care for us and address specific human needs. Our chosen families would have their very own robot for around 2 weeks to see how much it can improve their lives.

We are currently looking for a family with a child who could use the help of a tutor. The robot can provide learning support for a child who is struggling with their school work and can even teach a new language, we feel this would be a really fun and new approach to learning as the robot can interact the child and play games.

Anyone looking to hear more about the opportunity can email robots@rdftelevision.com or call me on 02070134354.

    Best wishes,

    Billie
